Choose the gas record that matches the visit
A landlord safety visit, an appliance service and a breakdown investigation should not be described as the same work. CertifyGAS has a record-led workflow for gas professionals, including safety records, service records and warning notices.
The public sample demonstrates a Landlord Gas Safety Record. For non-domestic, catering, LPG or another specialist requirement, name the exact record when requesting access and check its availability in the version and plan you will use.
From the current visit to the customer PDF

Check the customer, site address and appliance identities before recording the work.
- Record the current checks and findings
Keep each observation with the relevant appliance and document the actual visit. Saved identity details are a starting point, not new inspection evidence.
- Review, sign and issue
Read the complete record, check its dates and sign-off, then send the reviewed PDF to the agreed recipient.
The engineer remains responsible for the checks, findings and professional judgement. A previous result or signature must not be treated as evidence of the new visit.
Evaluate a realistic customer job
Try a fictional letting-agent customer with a separate property address and more than one appliance. Check a longer appliance description and an observation before reviewing the exported table.
For a repeat customer, verify how you locate and amend the identity details while keeping the new visit’s dates, findings and signatures separate. Use the gas record customer and site guide to review that handover.
Landlords and agents receive the finished PDF. They do not need to subscribe simply because you have carried out work for them.
Your company, your document style
Use the business identity your customer recognises. The black sample is one presentation of a CertifyGAS record, not a requirement that every document uses black. Check the available logo, colour and layout controls for your chosen record and plan.
Use only company, scheme or accreditation marks you are entitled to display. A professional layout is not an independent endorsement of the work.

Before you choose
Is CertifyGAS intended for landlords or gas engineers?
It is for the professionals carrying out and recording gas work. Landlords and agents can receive the issued PDF without an app subscription.
Does the gas sample show every supported record?
No. It shows one Landlord Gas Safety Record export. Confirm the exact record, device and plan for other work, especially specialist non-domestic, catering or LPG records.
Can I reuse customer and appliance details?
CertifyGAS supports saved customer and appliance information. Check that the identity details remain correct. Results, findings, visit dates and signatures must relate to the current work, not simply be carried forward.
Do all gas records have to use the black sample theme?
No. The public example uses black. Branding and colour controls depend on the selected record and plan; inspect those controls before choosing your own document style.
What does the CertifyGAS Free starter include?
The Free starter offer covers all seven Certify apps. Confirm the current CertifyGAS document allowance, device availability and included features through its access or pricing route. Prices and limits published for CertifyPAT do not automatically apply to this app.
Does requesting access create an account or start a subscription?
No. The website route sends an enquiry. Direct signup and checkout destinations are not connected yet. The team can provide relevant access and plan information; you should review the actual purchase terms before subscribing.
